Acquiring the Initial IP/Technology, Identifying the Actual Technology, and Identifying the 
 Appropriate Protections

1:05—1:55 p.m. (50 minutes), presented by Samuel R. Foreman
Mr. Foreman will discuss spotting conflicts including infringement and misappropriation. He will also discuss how to identify the actual technology. This includes: patents/patentable; trade secrets; copyrights; trademarks; and third party technology. Mr. Foreman will talk about identifying the appropriate protections. He will discuss patents, trade secret protection, copyright registration, trademark registration, and spotting multijurisdictional issues and protections.

•Initial Commercialization, Expanding the Technology and the End Game
 2:10—3:00 p.m. (50 minutes), presented by Samuel R. Foreman
 Mr. Foreman will discuss initial commercialization including: picking a model; related issues when doing 
 business online; product liability expansion; enforcing rights; issues associated with expanding the technology; and the end game.
