General Questions



 What is my username
?

Your username is your Supreme Court number. If you are a non-attorney, please contact the WBA office at 316/263-2251 to inquire about a username.

Note: If your Supreme Court number is four digits long, please add a 0 at the beginning. 
For example, 9432 would be entered 09432.

 

Will the password I used on the WBA’s previous website work on the WBA’s new website?

Unfortunately, it will not. For security purposes the WBA does not have access to our members passwords.

   

What is my new password?

Your initial password has been sent to the email address the WBA has on record.  If you have any questions, please contact the WBA at 316/263-2251. You can easily reset your password by clicking on the "Forgot your password?" link beneath the SIGN IN box. This will automatically generate an email that will be sent to the email address the WBA has on record and is listed within your profile. The email will contain directions on how to reset your password.


NOTE: If you have not forgotten your password and just want to simply change it, you may do so by signing in to the WBA website and selecting Manage Profile within the MY PROFILE box. Under Information & Settings, select "Edit Bio" to change your password or any other profile fields. Please note passwords are encrypted and the WBA office will not have access to member password information.



How do I update my profile information?

You can edit and add additional information to your member profile by signing in to the WBA website and navigating to: “Manage Profile” > “Information & Settings” > “Edit Bio.” On the "Edit My Member Profile” page, scroll down through the Personal and Professional Information and make the necessary edits.

When you have completed your changes, click on “Save Changes” at the bottom of the page.


 

How do I control what information is visible on my profile?

 

You can control what information is visible on your profile by signing in to the WBA    website and navigating to “Manage Profile” > “Information & Settings” > “Edit Bio.” On the "Edit My Member Profile” page, scroll down through the Personal and Professional Information and make the changes to the fields visible to other members by selecting the icon to the left of each field. You can set the field to “Members Only” or “Private”.

 

When you have completed your changes, click on “Save Changes” at the bottom of the page.

 How do I find other members? 

Navigate to the “Members Only” tab and select “Search Members, Firms and Practice Areas.” From here you can type in a Supreme Court number, a member's name (first or last), a firm or a practice area.

 

CLE & Event Registration

 

 How do I view upcoming CLE programs or events?
         

You can view available CLE seminars, monthly luncheons and other WBA events by signing-in to the WBA website. Navigate to the “CLE & Events” tab. From this page, you can link to view upcoming CLE seminars, monthly luncheons and other events offered by the WBA.  

 

How do I register for an upcoming CLE program or event?

You can view available CLE seminars, monthly luncheons and other WBA events by signing in to the WBA website. Navigate to the “CLE & Events” tab. From this page, you can link to view upcoming CLE seminars, monthly luncheons and other events offered by the WBA.
Select "Register" for the CLE seminars, monthly luncheons or other WBA event you are interested in. 

   

How do I know that I have successfully completed my registration? 

Upon completion of your registration you will receive a confirmation via email to your registered email address.
 

 How do I cancel my event registration?

You can manage your community/group reservations by signing in to the WBA website and navigating to “My Profile” >” Manage Profile”
Under the “Invoicing, Payments & History” heading, select “Event Registrations” to view events you are currently registered to attend.
To cancel, select the event name then select "register" in the upper left corner. An "Attention" box will appear and you can select to "Modify an Existing Registration."
Enter the validation code and select the box labeled "More Actions" on the lower left of the page.
Select "Cancel this Registrant."

 

 


What if I need more information on something I am interested in purchasing? 

You can always contact the WBA office at 316/263-2251 for further information.


 

Why do I have to answer a math problem when I register for an event?

This required action is called CAPTCHA (a test to tell Computers and Humans Apart) to prevent spam. Entering the answer to the math problem is proof that a real person is registering for one of the WBA’s events. Not a computer robot.

 

 

 NOTE: We encourage our WBA members to register for events online, in the event you prefer to call the WBA with your RSVP or registration request, a WBA staff person will be happy to register you for the event. Upon registration you will receive an email confirmation as well as a link to your invoice for payment.

 

  Community/Groups

 


What does it mean when I see references to "Community?"

Community is a reference to all current members in the Wichita Bar Association.


What are groups?   
     

Groups are committees (Example: Bankruptcy, Business Law, Real Estate, etc.).


To which committees/groups do I belong?    
    

You can view the committees/groups to which you belong by signing in to the WBA website and navigating to “My Profile” > “Groups.”  The committees/groups to which you belong are listed under your profile picture.


How do I add/remove myself from committees/groups?
         

You can add/remove yourself from a committee/group by signing in to the WBA website and navigating to Navigate to “My Profile” > “Groups.” The groups to which you belong are listed first.  To be removed, you will select the “tool icon” and then “Leave Group.”

 

If you would like to add a new group, select “Committee,” and navigate through the list of available groups. Once a group is decided upon, select it, then select “Join Group” at the top of the page.




How do I cancel my committee/group lunch reservation?

You can manage your community/group reservations by signing in to the WBA website and navigating to “My Profile” >” Manage Profile”
Under the “Invoicing, Payments & History” heading, select “Event Registrations” to view events you are currently registered to attend.

 Invoices

 


Where can I find my open invoices?     
   

You can find your open invoices by signing in to the WBA website and navigating to “My Profile” >” Manage Profile”
Under the “Invoicing, Payments & History” heading, select “Invoices” to view, print and pay your invoices.


How can I print receipts and view my payment history?
         

You can print receipts by signing in to the WBA website and navigating to Navigate to “My Profile” >”Manage Profile”.  Under the “Invoicing, Payments & History” heading, select “Invoices.” At the top you can “filter by status” or leave on “any” and this will allow you to see all invoices.

How do I pay my invoice online?

 

You can pay your invoice online by signing in to the WBA website and navigating to “My Profile” >”Manage Profile” > “Invoicing, Payments & History” > “Invoices.” Select the invoice you would like to pay and then select “Pay Selected Invoices.” You will confirm your payment information and submit payment.


How do I pay my invoice by mail?   
     

You can pay your invoices by mail by signing in to the WBA website and navigating to “My Profile” >”Manage Profile” > “Invoicing, Payments & History” > “Invoices.” Select the invoice you would like to pay, print and mail with payment to, Wichita Bar Association, 225 N. Market St., Suite 200, Wichita, KS  67202.

How do I know what my current WBA membership is? 
       

A member can view their current WBA membership by first signing-in to the WBA website and navigating to “My Profile” >”Manage Profile.” Under the “Invoicing, Payments & History” heading, select “Membership.”


How do I know when my current WBA membership expires?

Your 2016 - 2017 WBA membership expires June 30, 2017
         


How do I electronically renew my WBA membership?

You will receive an email reminder for your 2017-2018 dues around June 1, 2017. You will be able to renew your membership and complete payment at that time.

 

Credit Card Security

 


Will I need to set up a new credit card for use when registering for events or making purchases from the online store?     
   

Yes, the WBA is using a new credit card processor and you will need to enter your payment information to complete the transaction. For security reasons, your credit card information will not be retained. You will need to enter your credit card information each time you register for an event.
