1. HOW DOES THE SERVICE WORK?

The Wichita Bar Association is not in the practice of law. The Lawyer Referral Service merely makes referrals to attorneys who practice in the area of law you need. To receive a referral, please click the link below to complete and submit the:

Lawyer Referral Request Form

or

You may download the form. If you download the form, please return the completed and signed form by fax to: (316) 263-0629.

You will be contacted by our Lawyer Referral Director within 48 hours (not including holidays and weekends) of your submission.

2. WHAT WILL I GET?

Up to a 30 minute consultation with a lawyer, either in person or by phone, whichever you prefer. This initial consultation gives you time to ask questions about your problem, receive legal advice and arrange for further legal work if necessary. You are under no obligation to hire the lawyer and there is also no obligation that the lawyer must take your case.

3. WHAT IS THE INITIAL COST?

$25.00 by Visa, Mastercard or Discover. The investment of $25.00 for up to 30 minutes of legal advice is an inexpensive way to become informed and protect your rights. FREE consultation for Personal Injury, Medical Malpractice, Workers' Comp or Social Security disability cases. The lawyer you consult will be glad to discuss fees and costs of any additional services beyond the initial consultation, if such services are necessary. You may decide at that time if you wish to hire him/her.

4. WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO PREPARE FOR MY CONSULTATION?

Most importantly, be prepared to explain your legal problem clearly and quickly. Bring all documentation that could illustrate or strengthen your case. Write down important points that may save you time and money later.

5. WHAT IF I LIVE OUT OF STATE AND NEED AN ATTORNEY IN KANSAS?

Call (316)263-2251, extension 103 and your consultation will be handled by phone.
