But Legal Ethics Looks So Easy in the Movies!  Part 1
9:10 a.m. — 10:00 a.m. (50 Minutes, ethics), presented by Rick E. Bailey

In the movies, Hollywood makes the practice of law look so easy.  Difficult clients, difficult opposing parties, difficult judges, difficult assistants – dealing with all of these different players looks so straightforward in the movies.  But is it?  Hollywood attorneys don’t have to deal with our ethical rules and obligations which give us guidelines on what we must, can, and cannot do.  We’ll examine a number of situations with difficult players and discuss how the Kansas Rules of Professional Conduct might guide our responses.
