Business Process Review and Recommendations

Tyler presented its recommendations for system configuration and system use based on results of the business process review site visits that took place over the last few months. Tyler also proposed processes the centralized case management system can accommodate out of the box, as well as recommendations for changing either processes or system programming to meet Kansas standards. Representatives from each implementation track participated in this meeting.

Integrations

Tyler continues to examinemandatory report requirements and necessary integrations between centralized case management and other systems. Tybera, the efiling vendor, has participated in the analysis involving efiling, and the KBI has participated in analysis of disposition reporting.

System Configuration

Tyler is working with OJA to configure the centralized case management system, a process that will continue until December.

Configuration will be completed in sprints, with each sprint lasting several days. The first sprint, covering case initiation, took place this week. Future sprints will cover case processing, financial accounting, supervision, and jury processing. Members of each track team will participate in configuration to ensure we have a statewide perspective.

Conversion Testing and Training

Tyler and OJA will begin conversion testing and training later this year in preparation for Track I go-live scheduled June 3, 2019.

Conversion testing will start in November and continue through April. Multiple repetitions are needed to test and refine conversion scripts to prepare for go-live conversion.

Tyler will provide training for Track I courts next May. Then, following go-live, a Tyler support team will be onsite in Track I for three weeks as court personnel adjust to using the centralized case management system.
