Continuing Education Program Director is responsible for the administrative
oversight of the continuing legal education (CLE) activities provided by the
Wichita Bar Association (WBA), an association for attorneys in the South-Central Kansas Region. The Program
Director reports directly to the Executive Director of the WBA. This position manages the (CLE) credit
offerings for the association including accreditation requirements,
pre-conference planning, marketing, on-site support, post-conference documentation
and strong customer service skills to WBA members.
Duties and Responsibilities: Works
with the Continuing Legal Education Committee to act upon the committee’s
instructions and recommendations to plan, organize, facilitate and complete both
live and video replay seminars for attorneys to receive CLE accreditation with
the Kansas CLE Commission. Works with each practice committee chair to set CLE program agenda, apply to CLE
Commission for accreditation, communicate with faculty members, execute
marketing materials, manage vendors, setup online registration, finalize
seminar handbook, coordinate conference room setup and A/V equipment, attention
to detail that will influence the seminar’s success and provide a great
learning experience for attendees, track income and expenses, prepare reports
for CLE Committee and Executive Director. Organize
and maintain all documentation required by the Kansas CLE Commission and the
WBA’s document retention policy. Remain
up to date on CLE accreditation criteria, standards and statute requirements. Ability
to balance, plan and manage workflow to meet multiple seminar program
as a liaison to the Summer Intern Program Committee and other WBA committees,
as assigned, to help each committee further its goals. Develop
and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and function as an
effective team member.
